This project was an extensive remodel for a local Aspen family. I was involved in the schematic design, design development, and permit submission. The renovation involved adding a 2,500 SF addition to an existing house, extensive alteration and upgrades to the existing interior area, all new Pella windows, and a garage. 

The permit submission for this project was challenging as the owner opted out of paying the affordable housing fee because they lived and worked in the area. This required a deed restriction to be added to their home. We added fire sprinklers to the existing house and an underground water tank that would store 15,000 gallons of well water in case of an emergency. A water lawyer was brought on board to help support the case for this house to  stay on well water and not switch to City of Aspen water. After receiving this permit, the owners decided to put the renovation on hold.
